" Hey! What happened to the Steel Guitar Solo"?
To even mention the word steel guitar and then to hear it on a Fruit of the Loom Commercial... is very COOL!

That commercial has been running in rotation since before Christmas 2005. My wife and daughter brought it to my attention and thought it was funny.

We need to step up and support our fellow steel player--even if he is a fruit-of-the-loom guy. What I propose is that we all write Fruit-of-the-Loom and demand they put the steel solo back in. I'm serious. Who knows? Maybe they'll do it!

Anyone have the e-mail addy of Fruit-of-the-Loom?

If you heard the guy singin' in the commercial, it was Collin Raye. I love the part where the guy says, "Where's my steel guitar solo?" Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10

No need to jockey for position.

Just make a brief appeal asking for their support.

I love that Myron, maybe that could be their new slogan "fruit of the loom, choice of steel guitarist world wide", man ,we cant let the basket ball players get all the attention!! And since I just bought six pair yesterday, I am already a customer, but I will not do a commercial in my under jockeys, but I"m sure theres some young good looking guys on here that would.

"maybe that could be their new slogan 'fruit of the loom, choice of steel guitarist world wide,'"

That is brilliant! I tried to use the addy John posted to send the Fruit folks some of the great ideas in this thread, but I keep getting error messages.
