Hi All,
I play a "fixed" set up so to speak, I have a Zum Thru a Pod to a Nash 112 and the tone is good.
I do not change my settings during a gig, I note a change in tone when the lead guitar uses any or several settings on his stomp boxes, namely chorus or trem.
Are my ears picking up the sound around me?
Is this true for the sound that the audience hear?
Do I need to compensate?
Any help is appreciated
Best regards
Billy

Hello Billy from the panhandle of Texas. I know what you mean. IMO what we are hearing is a rapid drastic change in tone on the guitar which widens the difference in tone between the two instruments. Ours is staying basicly same. Through the course of a night, as I get warmed up, have a pint or two, etc. my attack and touch on the strings change, which of course has an effect on my tone.

Just my little observations over the years. Sure can drive you mad.

Keep pickin', Larry
