I've heard Bobby Flores some on "Hank's Place" on XM Radio, and he is one of the best that I've ever heard! The man is an awesome vocalist, and from what I hear, he's also a top shelf fiddle player too, as well as good on other instruments.

I'll be looking forward to hearing this new CD as well. If you like the sound of "classic" country, you'll not want to miss Bobby Flores!

I listen to Bobby's CD's on Hank's Place sometimes. Pure country with plenty of steel guitar in the mix. Bobby and Tony Booth are probably my two favorites they play on Hank's Place.

Lem,
Bobby not only sings with the best of them, like you mention he is one of the best Fiddle or Violin players around. He also plays Pedal Steel guitar very well, and a killer lead guitar player too. This guy is an all around talent. When you heard Bobby on Hank's Place if there was some very nice fiddle playing in that song, more than likely it was him. I think Bobby also goes out and plays a few dates with Ray Price if his time permits. Check out his web-site and hear some of his Steel and Lead guitar playing.

Steve D.

Thanks for the tip about his website. I'll check it out.

Also on Tommy Detamore's studio website, he has a song or two by Bobby you can listen to. GREAT stuff!!!

Also, there's some other good ones on Tommy's site as well, and they show what an absolutely incredible steel player Tommy is as well.

Everything Bobby has recorded on is all absolutely fantastic. Always great steel guitar playing, and some of the best fiddle playing I've ever heard in my life! No matter what it is that Bobby has done, it's always the best, and never a disappointment. By all means... get the CD!

Hey, thank you guys! I really appreciate the kind words about the new CD. A lot of work went into it and I'm very proud of the job all the players did on it. Steelers were: Tommy Detamore, Jim Loessberg, Dicky Overbey, Rick Price and Randy Reinhard.

It's Western Swingfest season here and I've been gone a bunch so I'm way behind on communications, but glad to be back. It's been a long yet fun couple of months here lately.

I was up just about every night in May trying to get this new CD finished. There towards the end I was recording all night and going to bed at 8:00 AM, argh. But we finally got it done.

I'm really excited about our new studio here in Blanco, Yellow Rose Studio! Al and I are really grateful for the running start we've had too. Producing some really cool albums right now for several artists. All really fun projects.

We've also just released an album on a new Country Christian artist on our label, Glenda Raye. It's called "Songs For The Soul". She has an awesome voice (trust me) and a great music ministry. Randy and Tommy Detamore played steel on that one and they both did GREAT work on it. Two more Y.R. albums right behind hers, Tony Martinez and Becki Braun. Will keep you posted. The album "Once You've Heard The Truth" by the late Karley Houston is also available.

Thanks for your encouragement and your support of my new album. I hope you enjoy it. I've always had a deep appreciation for the generous support from everyone here on The Forum. Many sincere thanks!

Bobby

Bobby I appreciate you and the Talented Musicians who make up your band.....you guys are the Best that has come along to my ear, in many a year, in my opinion. Your Cd's speak more for Country Music than any others I have heard in a long time. Keep up the good work!
By the way folks, Bobby didn't tell you he plays Steel on "He'll Let You Live A Little"
cut on the "Direct From Blanco County" Cd and is a Great Steel Player.
Also, there is a Guest Vocalist, Richard Wolf, who is a Ringer for Ray Price on a couple of numbers too.
Again Bobby, thanks for making some of the Best Country Music Cd's I have ever heard!
Those of you that want to support "Real Country Music", in my opinion, should buy all of Bobby's Cd's....you will be glad you did!
