DJ
If you can't find a band,,it's just a hop skip, and a jump over to Oceanside,,

You just might find some steel jammin going on at Jim P.'s Steel Guitar store!! lol..

Kevin...I think for the right motivation, there are professionals near there that might be able to help you out

DJ....Oceanside is in North County SD, which is about 45 minutes north of Downtown (depending on traffic). If youre interested in coming up, you could visit Jim Palenscars great shop, come see me at my gig friday(4:30-9pm)and still be free to catch more SD nightlife afterwards. Feel free to call me. I made it to ocenside and I'm glad I got there. Rick is great on the steel and it was a pleasure to hear him play. He is definitely comfortable on both E9 and C6 and even played some midi guitar. He made it all look so effortless. Thanks Rick for the entertainment and to kevin for recommending I go to oceanside, it was a highlight of my weekend. Sorry I could'nt get to Jim P. shop.
Take care
