Billy (Vera) and the Beaters had a song out some years ago entitled "At this moment"(or at least that is what XM radio says it is). It seems to be a live recording and has alot of steel on it. Does anyone know what played in that group and, was steel a permanant fixture of the band? I know some years back Neal McCoy had a good version of the same song.

If we are thinking of the same song, I believe that's the session with Jeff Skunk Baxter (Doobie Brothers).

Before Skunk Baxter, Steve Fishell worked with Billy and the Beaters, but it's Jeff "Skunk" Baxter playing the steel on "At This Moment". Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10
