I agree, and I'm not sure that I'm not yet up to the making music stage yet either.
They also deserve recognition for all the time they spend alone while we're out playing, often away for 1-2 nights.

I second that!!!! Mine puts up with my noise, the occasional "I'm done with this nerve wracking contraption" tirades, stomping away just to come back and try again 10 minutes later and other such stuff. She's done things like out of the blue buying my Hilton pedal, my 112 (all from Bobbe - thanks) and other goodies just to surprize me.

Don't know what I'd do without her!!!

My wife is also a musician and singer. I don't have the problems many others have.

She now wants me to teach her pedal steel. Now I have to watch out

I met my wife while playing bass in a rock band in 1962. The first time I took her out I played steel in a country band. It was kind of a shock for her but I guess it's ok as we have been married over 40 years now. She has always been supportive of my music.

lotta wisdom in this thread. They could have it alot worse, we could be fiddle players. Nothing sounds worse than a poorly played fiddle.

My first wife couldn't stand listening to me tune. Ding ding ... ding ding. She couldn't hear the beats.

When the divorce was final, the first thing I bought was a Korg tuner.

The new Mrs. Lee puts up with a lot, bless her heart.

My ex was barely aware I was playing the PSG.
She was so far gone at that point, that
what I did was irrelevant to her.
"What's that thing?"
"A pedal Steel Guitar. "
"Oh... fine, whatever."

But my new lady is perfectly happy I play anything I want.
Whenever I want.
Though she did question me last sunday
when I brought 1000w bass amp
6 string bass and upright bass,
Shobud and Peavey Transfex 212s amp.

" Why you bring all that tonight?
You playing ALL of that? "
" Yes I am..."
"Oh my!"

And I did, and she danced all night.

When I have people over to work she brings
drinks and fresh fruit, and cleans up a bit.

She is happy as long as I don't wear myself out.
