I bough a copy of this rare book from 1978 by Rusty Young of Poco fame on e-bay and I have got all out of it that I am going to get.

Rather than the book sit in a drawer gathering dust, does anyone want to borrow it on a pass it on basis. I would like to see it back eventually.

If so then please form a queue here.

I'd love to get a second look at Rusty's book.

The first time was 25 years ago when it came out, I didn't play E9 then so much didn't apply. Now I think it would be more useful to me,... besides just being a Rusty Young fan.

Maybe we could set up an informal "routing" and pass the book along in the states before ending it back to you.

And in return, is there anything I could send to you. I have lots of 70's country rock recordings I could dupe (lots of Rusty Young stuff!)

I'd certainly welcome the opportunity of going through that book! Rusty Young provided some of my earliest exposure to psg.
I would gladly forward the book to the next person on the list.
Great Idea and Thanks!

Before the list gets too long please fit me in the queue if at all possible. I'd love to see what tricks & secrets Rusty has revealed.

Thanks and regards....

..I too would like to have a copy of this book, but I'd want to keep it if I could..

...since this book is out of print, and there is a demand for it but probably not enough to justify another printing...maybe we could get Rusty's permission to make copies...

...the Carter people have contact with Rusty Young, maybe they could spearhead a limited campaign to get Rusty's permission to make copies for sale to forumites..

..Maybe b0b could get permission to make copies for sale to benefit both Rusty and the forum?..

...any other suggestions as to how we might be able to purchase a copy of this out-of-print book?..

Unless he received the publishing rights back from the publisher, I don't think Rusty can give anyone the rights to make copies. It would have to be the publisher.

The copy on e-bay went for $65 which is about what I paid for this copy.

Jim, it is now on its way to you - you should get it next week. Sorry about the delay, I wanted to have another look through it.

I would like to see it back eventually - lets see if it happens!

Here is a link to an article written in Guitar Players Magazine in 1972 which features an interview with Rusty Young. The book in which you are talking about in mentioned in this article - Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Rusty Young to access the article - Interesting reading!

Garth's right: check your library. I found Rusty's book at the Portland library about 6 months ago.

They also had one of Scotty's Mel Bay books.

Now, back to the topic at hand: Does anybody know where Clive's copy of the Rusty book is?
