Check out the new Clip Of The Week at www.austriansteelguitar.at.tf (go to the "Sounds" page, then scroll down).

PS.: I will be out of town for most of next week, so I can't respond in the next days - have fun in the meantime!

Kind Regards, Walter

I believe - Loretta Lynn's brother, Jay Lee Webb, "You Made a Wreck Out of Me", Hal Rugg on pedal steel.

Hey Walter,

I loved the clip of Hal playing "Take me as I am..." A nice tribute - thank you!

Geez, Dave, let somebody ELSE get the answer for once, you're spoilin' all the fun (Not that I have a clue, anyway, most times).

It was good last time to hear a young Darrell McCall. I had listened to clips from that first disc of Bear Family's "Real McCall" on Amazon just a few weeks ago.

Darrell's later stuff sounds alot like Ray Price, I think. (Don't get me wrong, I love the old shuffles and they're where-it's-at for steel), but it was nice to hear him without all that heavy vibrato. My little brother calls it 'the warble'.

Cody, don't worry, Dave is only right partially!

Yes, it is Jay Lee Webb, but the steel credits go to Lloyd Green!

Kind Regards, Walter
