Don Helms in Canada

Don Helms did cross the line into Canada last week to entertain in Waterdown and in Belleville, Ontario. He showed us all how it is done. He got a standing ovation at both shows. He told many Hank Williams stories that left the audience enthralled. Chris Malpass did a great job singing Hank's many hits.

On a personal note, Don accepted an invitation to come to the studio to record a couple of Hank tunes. Needless to say that we were honoured that he took the time to lend that 1949 Gibson Console sound to our recording project.

Many thanks to Gord Thompson and Marie Bell for bringing Don, Hazel and Chris to Canada.
