I finally updated my website and its good to go. I wanted to explain a few things about the live video clips before you see them.
There are some video clips of a gig we did in 2002 that I hope you enjoy on the new PLAYERS page. The clip of "Ballerina" is the clip I told several of you about in Dallas. I chose this E9th solo because it incorporates all of the new changes. That includes the G# drop to E.
Anyway I hope you all enjoy the new video and audio clips. paul-franklin.com
I almost forgot, the intro music on the opening page is a mixture of four songs I recorded for my new CD two years ago. I'm moving at a snails pace.

Just great Paul! Awesome playing to be sure. (Kinda depressing too in a way!  )I'm so glad I finally have broadband out here in the sticks so I can see things like this!

| Paul, Incredible,tastefull,soulful,unbelievably creative and absolutely peerless playing! I first heard and saw you on the Green Valley Jamboree in the late 60's you were great, I saw and heard you next at Buck Lake Ranch in Angola,Indiana around 1971 or 72 with Barbara Mandrell and you were even better! Suffice to say that I am a HUGE fan of your playing and what a treat it is to see the new stuff! Tell your folks and Gregg and Theresa that Frank and Molly said "hey"! |

Absolutely fabulous! I particularly enjoyed the tunes on "Paul's Jukebox".
An indepth display of what talent and firm command of the instrument you posess, as well as a showcase of what a broad spectrum of music the pedal steel is so capable of.

I'm floored.
Being new to the instrument, and coming from 60's/70's country-rock as my primary exposure...well, I've never seen ANYTHING like that, ever.
Am I wrong - or is he using the C6 neck mainly? |

| What a hassle!!!---Can't seem to get this to open....I get a message which says----Windows cannot open this file....To open this file,Windows needs to know what program created it....Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer.....Which would you like to do? (here I get a choice of:1. Use the web service to find the appropriate program. 2.Select the progarm from a list.) If I choose #1, I get a page saying Microsoft Windows File Associations----on which it show to download Apple Quictime----I did this, and still nothing......anyone's help will be greatly appreciated.... |

I downloaded it ..got the error mesg.. took it home ,, it plays fine .. GET REAL PLAYER to watch it ..

Paul is a true master of the Steel Guitar,and a musical mind that is totally unlimited.
This will give a lot of New Steel Players that are starting out an ideal of what can be done with the Pedal Steel. |

Your "Don't Try this at Home" solo is impossible! Great stuff. Looks effortless and the accuracy of the bar placement is stunning.
You guys did it better live than the CD and the CD was great! I have always thought the best players are the ones who can play their recorded songs live better than the original recording!
I noticed Brent doing a little bending behind the nut and using his b-bender. Brent always knocks out the six-string side of me!
