I just watched a DVD of Wag The Dog,
I just got after not seeing it in a while.

Willie is very funny seemily pulling lines out of conversation
and making it into a verse of a propsed song, on the fly.

He fit perfectly into that "brainstorming" group.

There is later a scene on a BnW TV
of a Willie performance of one of the completed songs,
and low and behold...

A Steeler getting full screen coverage of his solo.

But who IS this lucky guy??
Likely one of Willies regular band players, but I don't recognize him.
A short solo, but nicely done.

I just completed a trilogy of DVD's I think fit together well.
Primary Colors, Wag The Dog And Bullworth.
I also have one from way back, Meet John Doe,
that seems to fit too.

But only one has a steeler. Can't have everything.

Are you talking about the scene where they're on the jet?
Merle Haggard is on the TV singing "Courage Mom", and there's a couple of shots of Norm Hamlett.
I don't remember any scenes of Willie Nelson singing a completed song with a band.
Great movie, btw.

Ah, That was Merle.
it went so fast, now's I think of it,
yeah it wasn't Willie singing.
