That's great. I wish someone would put together a DVD or VHS with clips of BE throughout the years up to the present time. I can set and watch this kind stuff over and over. Thanks for the clip!

I've found myself liking this. Especially the more British style stuff. I don't think he has been given the credit he deserved here in the UK.

Archie - I'm intrigued!

Who is the vocalist in question? I'm afraid my ancient computer along with my dial-up connection won't open these YouTube links, so I'm missing a lot here!

IS it Lonnie, or is it someone like him? That would be hard to believe, as Donegan was truly unique, and a giant in music. I, too, think he hasn't yet been accorded the credit he deserved, but that may be because he wasn't the most well-liked individual in the Business, and some people have been reluctant to speak well of him.

Lonnie Donegan remains the single biggest musical influence on me, starting to play as I did in 1957 (in London, I hasten to add).

Sorry to re-hijack the thread!!!

...and I agree - wouldn't it be GREAT if someone could compile all the footage of Buddy Emmons through the years and make a DVD available???!

Roger. The original link is as Jennings said, Little Jimmy Dickens. My second link is one I found while trying to get an audio clip of Lonnie Donegan. The link has plenty examples of the `Lonnie` sound.
Time to get Broadband, Roger. You won't regret it.
