Hello everyone,
I'm relatively new to the forum, and wanted to take this opportunity to thank b0b and all of you for your dedication to the steel guitar community. I just ordered my PSG on Tuesday, and as I take on this daunting task it is comforting to know that there is someplace to go for help.
Thank you one and all.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Rodney...I ordered a Carter Starter, not because that's what I really want, but because that is what I could afford at the moment. Would take me at least until the end of the year to save up enough for a pro model, and I figured I could better use the time getting started.

Welcome to the Forum Bob. Wise choice on the Carter Starter. Mainly for the price and second to get you started on your journey to learning to play Pedal Steel. The Forum here is an excellant place for referrals and questions so dont be bashful HA! You will have plenty of oppurtunities to upgrade when you can afford it. WHen you get to that point you might check out Bobbe Seymour's Steel Guitar website "Steel Guitar Nashville" the link to it is in the link section. He has a great site and great pircesd to fit your budget. Plus..You can link to nuthin but Steel Guitar music while on the Internet. Excellant person to deal with. He has all sorts of information that can help you. Hope this helps you.

Welcome Robert to the FORUM. Every one here has one interest in mind, MAKING YOU A BETTER PSG PLAYER. Remember we all had to start some place and that place usually was "Now that I got this thing how does it work"? You have come to the right place to get that question answered. If I would have had the FORUM to look to in '75 I would have never sold my first PSG.
