Apparently your steel itself resonates more at that frequency.

The other thing it could be is the metal cover. If you pull the plate on the body off the pickup is attached to it with two machine screws, there are two nuts under the body plate, tighten those down. there are supposed to be some lock washers under there to keep that from happening but I have seen quite a few where those were missing.
Dont overtigthen! The screws are welded to the top of the cover, you dont want to snap them off.
Take a flashlight and look between the coverplates to see if your oval is warped ... sometimes a "spot" of superglue will reattach it (did for mine) ... pressing it up with a butterknife.
If you can't resolve it via the superglue or by tightening the nut ... time to send it to www.lollarguitars.com
