Try asking this on the Seymour Duncan forums. I don't know myself.

On Fender guitars of all types, the standard is 250K pots and .05mFd caps. I usually find that I like the response of a .02 cap better, but that's me.

Michael - Curious...how does changing to a .02 mf cap affect the tone control? I'm replacing the pot and cap on my Fender 1000 tone control. I only ever use it to get the doo-wah effect. Thanks - Tim

Single coil Telecaster pickups and other single coil (basses, mandolins, etc.) pickups use 250K audio taper volume and tone controls with .05 mfd tone capacitors.

Humbuckers (double coil) use 500K audio taper potentiometers for both volume and tone controls and .02 mfd tone capacitors.

Stringmaster guitars use 250K audio taper pots for the volume and mixer controls and a 1 megohm linear taper pot for the tone control. The Stringmaster tone cap is .05 mfd (paper).
