Just watching some old VCR recordings of ACL and seen Steve Palousek with Gene Watson, Terry Crisp , what a great job with Ricky Scaggs, Paul Franklin with Martina McBride, I don't think it was on ACL, and Jerry Douglass was with Pure Prairie League And New Grass. What a bunch of pickers in this group, Bela Fleck, Pat Flynn, Sam Bush and John Cowan. I really Loved the Terry Lickona Productions.

Ray,I have an unedited (complete w/tuning,mistakes etc.) copy of Austin City Limits from around 1983 with Ray Price and Buddy Emmons.

Buddy does a wonderful instrumental on I Love You Because and probably the best version of Night Life I have ever heard him do.

Every time Buddy does a hot solo Ray nearly falls over backwards out of shear delight laughing and saying "Ladies and Gentlemen, MR.BUDDY EMMONS"

It turned out to be The Buddy Emmons show with guest vocalist Ray Price.

I've had numerous e-mails asking for a copy. First,I will have to locate the VHS tape in my barn and if I haven't lost it, I will have a friend burn it to a CD.

If this all works out, I will let you all know and we can determine the best way to get it to you.

Ray Price is in a category all his own. Nobody can touch him.

As a kid in the 60s, I'd stay up late whenever he was on the Tonight Show. Did any of you other geezers remember him on the Tonight Show? I guess Carson realized what a unique stylist Ray is.

Back then, I thought of Ray Price as a country Sinatra. Ray Charles had done country, so I wanted Frank and Tony Bennett to do some country.

Big "E" if you read this, I am curious if you remember that particular taping of ACL.

On that show Ray had on fiddles,Kenny Sears, along with Mr.and Mrs Hubbard from Fort Worth if that helps.

Dick, I am down in Friendswood and I will head your way to help find it in the barn.
I know cops are not paid that and if you really need to steel at night, I am behind you ALL THE WAY. I guess we are all associates to your crime. Buddy E. and Bobbie S. must be the ring leaders.

Well I found the tape and I'm really upset.

I had punched out the tab so it couldn't be recorded over and either my son or some ex-wife has put tape over it and recorded over it.

I will call the friend who made me that copy and see if he's still got one.I'm not giving up yet!
