Well, I was headed to the airport, and indeed had arrived at the airport, when I turned my car around for home. There's just too much going on at home this weekend with my family that I just didn't feel good about getting on that plane. They need me here right now.

I'll miss you all in big D, and look forward to catching you next time.

Hey Jim, I'll miss you seeing and hearing you in Dallas but man I totally understand. I almost had to miss it too but I'm going for just Saturday. Take care and hope to see you down the road.

I know the feeling...
21 hours on a plane... just didn't fly for me.

Plus I couldn't bring Cha Cha,
who wanted to go.

Jim, you probably think I am crazy, but I took my family to the Airport so they could got to Dallas for Spring Break. Sort of the opposite.

I'm staying home to do chores, do the taxes, etc. They are visiting relatives (not the convention) but maybe if I had planned ahead better. One of these years I'll get down there.

Just wanted to say "thank you" to all the nice folks who sent emails, concerned about my wellbeing and that of my family. We are all just fine. There was no crisis. There were just too many important family things going on this past weekend for me to beam myself out of Philly and head to Tx. It was my son's Junior Prom - and how often do ya get to see your boy dressed up in a tuxedo?! Plus, the next day he had a major classical saxophone audition that he's been preparing for for several months. I just didn't want to be out of town on that day (turns out he played just great; now comes the waiting...). Plus my brother was flying into town for the weekend from Oregon and I would have missed him, plus my mom fell on the ice and broke her arm and needed some support around the house. So... well, you get the idea. We're all doing fine, thank you, and thanks again for your friendship and caring. I'll seize ya down the line next time.

Hey Jimbeaux,
I certainly missed you, but I do understand the need to support our children and family, "been there and done that". Glad things went well for your son and his audition and I'm sure his talent is just like his dad's and will surely be appreciated.
Mine and Barbara's best to your family and our prayers for your mom.
Looking forward to seeing you soon,
....Roy
