I was watching Nashville on the road with Jim Ed Brown and they showed a couple of quick shots of the band and the steel player was wearing a ballcap and looked like you.
The program featured Johnny Paycheck and was in some park in Georgia I think.
Didn't you say you used to play with Jim ED?

Yeah, but it'twernt me. Musta been Hank Corwin. He was with J.E. after I left. That had to be back in 1968. I had to leave J.E. on account of "illness". (He got sick of me!)

I don't believe I ever met Hank Corwin in person, but I do remember seeing an unflattering caricature of him somewhere. Maybe it was on the wall of the 3rd floor loft at Sho-Bud on Broadway.??

I used to pick Hank's brains every chance I got, when he would come into Little Roy Wiggin's music store. Hank went to the Julliard Conservatory of Music and at the time one of the few Steeler's in Nashville that could proficiently read music. |

Roger, maybe what you thought was a bad caricature of him was actually a picture of Smiley. ( I don't think he can hurt me way down here in Lousiana, I hope).
