I've personally done literally hundreds if not thousands of Southampton gigs. It's a great place. The most prestigious steel player that has played in my city is Maurice Anderson who just slayed everyone with his incredible playing. 15 years ago we had quite a number of pretty good home grown players in Southampton.

In addition to Reece, I have seen a number of touring band steelers playing at Southampton's Mayflower Theatre including Lloyd Maines, Norm Hamlett and Bobby Black.
