Ironically, a couple of the tunes on the cassette were actually Herbie Wallace.

Paul,
The only thing I can add is that it was meant to be an album of a concert I performed somewhere and Tom said he had mistakenly added Herby. I’ve had the greatest respect for Herby ever since.

Oh no Buddy, here we go again. Herby will be wanting royalties hehe
I did these recordings of Buddy at a show in Ashville, NC in the late 70's or early 80's.
Back then, I was using reel to reel tape and because of the high cost of tape then (at least I thought it was high), I used every bit of every tape.
Well many years later when Tom Bradshaw wanted to do the "cassette" thing, I offered my recordings. I sent Tom about 8 reel to reel tapes.
Ironically, Tom had someone else do the editing, so the part with Herby was inadvertently put on tape.
Tom was really embarassed. The fun part was when Buddy, Herby and I really reamed Tom over the coals, threatening law suits and everything. (all in fun of course). Tom was beside himself. He published in his "Steel Guitar" magazine all about this. It was really funny.
Great picking by both Buddy & Herby and not too bad of recordings to be done with just a couple of mics into a reel to reel recorder. Aw, the good old days.
