Patty Loveless was on Imus' morning show in MSNBC. She sounded great and gave a good interview.

The steeler was in the mix, which they make sure to do on Imus show, playing a Sierra and a dobro.

Great way to start off the morning.

The I-Man Loves and appreciates REAL country music.. hence folks like Patty on the show... He is pretty intolerant of the commercial Nashville pablum that so many folks call country.... bob

Hey ya'll... thanks for watching; it was a nightmare for me I hate to say! I had a rented Session 400, which would have been great except none of the tone controls worked AT ALL! I've been using Peavey steel amps for 20 plus years, and like so many I take advantage of the parametric midrange to dump a lot of 800 Hz... I had to suffer through the show with the most horrible midrangey tone; that's NOT my real tone, honest! (no reflection whatsoever on Peavey amps either..) I was SO glad to play dobro instead when that time came...

Onward...

Hey Pete,
Sorry that I missed your performance(but from your post her), you probably don't mind that I did miss it. I am a big fan of Patty.

I apologize for the problems with the amp. Do you know what cartage house it was rented from and I will call them and try to get that amplifier repaired?

Call me toll free at 1-877-732-8391, ext. 1180.

Thanks,
Mike Brown

Boy, Pete, I know the feeling. MANY years ago, when I was with Jeannie C. Riley, we had to fly to Wash. DC to play for the White House Correspondent's annual dinner, with Pres. Nixon. We had been in Minn or Wis or somewhere the night B4, and using the bus wouldn't work. Well, the airline LOST my ZB!! I played the show backed by the orchestra for the Washington Redskins on a rented Fender 400. Talk about a problem. I feel for ya, buddy. Natch, the airline found the guitar the following day, laying in a corner at Wash. National.

Driving around listening to the show this morning was a real treat, and I was actually thinking about how every time there is a steel on the Iman's show you can actually hear it in the mix!!!!! Thanks Pete.

Pete, you sounded great this a.m. and I was watching for every shot of you picking. I bet it's a thrill to play for Patty--she's seems like a super nice lady. She's keeping it country and that's just fine with me!

Great job Pete!
It's funny how we're all so concerned with tone...you sounded great.
You were all alone out there on the steel intro you did, so we heard your tone loud and clear and it was excellent!
Patty is the real deal.
It was fun to hear her talk about playing in North Carolina in the 80's and getting influenced by rockers of the time.

I can't say enough nice things about Mr. Pete Finny, well, I could, but he'd beat me up, again.
