Regardless of the type guitar YOU choose to play, whether pedal or non-pedal, whether a beginner or advanced professional, if you hope to ever be recognized as an accomplished steel guitarist, you realize that technique and TONE are the most basic of requirements. When recording, because you're appealing ONLY to the listener's EAR, you must be creative and resourceful in what you play each and every time.
"Farewell Blues" is an example of a number of different "affects", not like in foot stomping black boxes, but rather in playing techniques. This tune can be heard on the Jerry Byrd Fan Club.com web site at this time. A great olde tune! |
