Heads up, airing this week is an hour SoundStage special on PBS with Martina McBride performing a bunch of great country classics with the likes of Paul Franklin, Stuart Duncan, Steve Gibson, Eddie Bayers to name a few. There are a lot of close ups of the musicians and especially Paul (of course he sounds fantastic) And if that's not enough... the show ends with the Martina performing her hits with her road band including Wayne Dahl sounding just great on steel. At the live taping, Wayne played a gorgeous solo on "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". Unfortunately, that song didn't make it to air. Bummer.
Check your local listings, check out the show, and remember how great it was when PBS has their next pledge drive.

Thanks, TC
You saved my sanity.
I only caught 'Independence Day'
I thought, Wayne Dahl sounds good -- very true to the recording
Then the credits rolled and Paul Franklin was listed
I have a DVR with a 1 hr buffer, but it only recorded what I watched so I couldn't go back before the last tune. I replayed the last tune and IT WASN'T FRANKLIN. I've been amazed by Paul's playing since the Tillis days, but I knew that WASN'T HIM.
Thanks for clearing that up.
