Does anyone know if there is a show anytime during the year in Dothan? It seems I remember there was several years ago. I live on the Ala.,Ga.state line[Phenix City Ala,Columbus Ga.]I would love to go to some of the shows, but they are all so far away. It's approx.a 750 mile round just to Nashville. |

Charles,
I have no knowledge of the status of the Dothan show, but I will invite you to the Georgia Peach Jam that will be held at the Hollonville Opry House on December 4th. We have several Alabama friends that join us on a regular basis, so come on down! We haven't gotten all of the details ironed out on this one yet, but it's always a fun day. Check out the link for a little info on the Georgia Steel Guitar Association. It's still under construction, but take a look. Hope to see you there!

Hey Charles, we would love have you at our steel shows in Mississippi. There held in Magee and Gulfport. Now if we could just get everything back to normal after the storm we could get started back. By the way, some of my pickin' buddies are from Alabama that come over sometimes. |

Roger I have a good friend that has a bluegrass band [EAST WIND] that plays the Hollonville opry. They are going into the studio soon to cut their third album.I'v got to admite I did'nt know about the opry.EastWind is recording two songs I wrote on their new C.D.My friend Roger Newman[band leader of East Wind]brought me a C.D.they cut live at the opry doing my songs,it was a good feeling hearing my song performed by a great band,to a great live crowd. He had to explain to me where the Hollonville opry was.But I know now. |

Ernest and Barney,I really appreciate all this info.By the way Barney is Gray where they have the [chittling hoedown] in the spring? If so I played early this year. Did'nt try the chittlings,But those country ladies sure cooked up some great streak-a-lean biscuits[like my mama used make]Put away about four of those cathead biscuits. |
