Congratulations Leonard. In 1949, I was a high school kid in Chambersburg, PA.
Heard the 101 Ranch Boys on the radio and immediately was attracted to your steel playing.
I'm still a fan.
You have certainly earned the right to be in the Hall of Fame.

Leonard T. Zinn is one of my steel guitar idols. Watching his hands in the Hawaiian room at last year's convention is one of my most treasured memories. He displayed a total mastery of the instrument with ease and grace.
Congratulations, L.T., on this well deserved award.

Congratulations to LT. Zinn for induction in the SGHOF , and I think about time!. Well, deserved.
Our own friend from Michigan. The nicest guy you would ever want to meet and know.
He has been energetically trying to get awareness of the Hawaiian Steel Guitar, for so many years. In the country and western and Hawaiian music, and that is where a lot of us came from in the beginning. Thanks Leonard. My best wishes to you for many years to come....al

I've only seen Leonard T. Zinn play steel once, several years ago at Scotty's. To me, he's usually been the smiling gentleman on rhythm guitar, and just to see him enjoying himself so much with his fellow musicians always makes me smile! I also had occasion to have a short conversation with him back around 2001, and the smile on the outside of his face is a PERFECT reflection of the fine Christian gentleman's soul within.
I am just too delighted for words to see him as a member of the SGHOF! |

THANK YOU..ALL OF YOU for the kind thoughts.
This award is a great blessing in my life.
What a ride the steel guitar has given me in this life.
I'm still enjoying it as much as ever.
Also, how else would I have met so many wonderful people whom I now call friends.
Thanks again, to the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame, board of directors for having the faith in me that it took to consider my nomination and vote on it.
I will forever thank my mother who sacrificed many a quarter, dime, and/or nickel to help me get that dollar together I needed each week.
Again, my heartfelt thanks to all of you. L. T. Zinn
