This is a plug for my dear friend Marti Brom's new cd. I'm sure she's not too familiar on this forum due to the fact that she gigs around on a very limited scale and mostly in the rockabilly circles. She is however one of the few singers around who can deliver the whole package; a beautiful, soulful voice, a perfect sense of style combined with a charismatic stage presence and sex appeal. This new cd is pure honky tonk heartache magic with sort of a novelty idea of number songs ( Three Hearts Later, Whiskey Six Years Old, etc ). The album was produced by Justin Trevino and backing musicians include our very own forumites Bobby Flores and Dickie Overby. For friends of traditional honky tonk country music loaded with tons of fiddle and soulful steel this is a must. On top of the perfect backing comes Marti's beautiful voice. There's a reason why she is one of Wanda Jackson's favorite singers, you're unlikely to hear anything prettier than Marti's version of 12th Of Never on this album.

Hi Guys and Gals, I bought dicky's cd a month ago and its great. Also, just ordered and received a Bobby Flores cd, Justin Trevino, and an old Johnny Bush cd. I recommend all of these above highly and if Marty's cd is even in the same neighborhood musically as these others it is a keeper. I'll be looking for it online. Maybe this is Texas' answer to the muzik mafia. I know I for one, enjoy the music better.

Hi Jussi - I'll second and third you on Marti's new CD. It's absolutely fantastic and both Bobby and Dickie play some beautiful music on these great songs. Marti is one of my favorite singers and I always enjoy when she sits in with the Cornell Hurd Band. And I'll second, third and fourth you on the sex appeal statement. A lovely gal with a terrific voice and great taste. Country music lovers buy this CD!
