i think that vance terry was one of the great steel players. both non-pedal (billy jack wills band) and pedal (jimmie rivers and the cherokees). these albums are the only ones i know of that he's on.
i know that he died several years ago, but i don't really know much about him, or if there are any more recordings of him.
i'd appreciate any info.
thanks, john

John,
The best place to start would be a search of the Forum. Right here in the 'Steel Players' section, there are 35 threads where Vance Terry is mentioned.

I'd suggest you click 'Search' top right, type in Vance Terry, select 'Steel Players' and hit the SEARCH button. You may want to search some of the other Forum areas as well. Many Forumites knew Vance and many more knew of him and he is mentioned often.

Good luck.

I have Vance's '51 Bigsby-Paul penciled in the date in '54 underneath when the two pedals were added to the E13TH neck one raised the G# to A and the other lowered C# to B
