Just wondered if any of you Forumites might have any idea where Ray is or what he's doing these days? Used to gig with him on Okinawa and he was a truly devoted steel player. At the time, he was playing a homemade steel and it sounded pretty good.
would like to drop him a line if anyone knows his whereabouts. Thank you in advance
for any help you can give. TJH

The last I heard Ray was some place in tenn.(Madison I think). I picked with him in Okinawa after he was with you (or before-not for sure)in The Western Ramblers with Warren Stout. We were a mixed band--Army, Air Force, Navy. I tried to find him a couple of years ago-no luck. I think Shelly Mangrum was his daughter's name-never did check that out though. I think he played with Little Jimmy Dickens . If you find him--let me know.
