It's a CD, but you can still call it an album, since one definition of "album" is a "collection of selected works." That's what it is, and it's available from the SGF.

I had the great pleasure of playing with Pete recently, and while his CD doesn't showcase the same wild abandon he can display in a good jam, the great arrangements and tasty tones compliment his fine writing and playing skills. Great CD! So my suggestion- get the "Album" for a great listen and go see Pete live for the roller-coaster ride! Love ya, Pete!

Thanks, Mark. We played some really fun stuff together. I'm glad that several thousand people were able to share in the experience. They seemed to enjoy it immensely -- almost as much as we did. Looking forward to next time.

Hi, Dave. Yes, I'll bring some copies to the jam. That's going to be fun.

Hey guys-Pete's post showed up at about the same time as mine-and he was replying to Mark Van Allen.

I would have no business playing in front of several thousand people. LOL!

Nice stuff on this album : mellow and hip too.

I got it in Drogheda at the show, and had the pleasure of jamming with Pete.

Great job on the album Pete. Even though it's all good, track 10 seems to be the one that sticks in my head after hearing it twice since yesterday. Mrs. Zirbel gives the album a "thumbs up" as well!

Al Vescovo and I listened to it in the car as we drove back to L.A. from the Sam Jose jam, and we both liked it a lot.

Pete has incredible chops, but this CD isn't about virtuoso picking. It's about making some really nice pretty music. This is not a "steel guitar album" (actually there's more dobro than steel) but rather the kind of album that anybody who likes good music can enjoy.

To add to what folks said, this is is just enjoyable, even relaxing music that I find to be very cinematic. Pete's playing is first rate but it's the melodies that stay with you. Steel guitar and dobro mesh in a very satisfying way. If you're tired of every steel guitarist trying to record a better version of sleepwalk or steel guitar rag, this CD is for you. I've had a copy for a while as Pete wrangled with the rights issues and I was very pleased that he was able to get it released to the world.

Pete-I've listened to the album a bunch since I got it from you at Saturday's jam-and it is great-my two teenage daughters said they liked it when we were listening to it on the way home (they were shopping at the mall with Grandma while I was at the steel guitar jam in San Jose). Now that's really saying something-since I'm constantly playing dobro and steel cd's when they're in the car with me and they get tired of most of the stuff and let me know about it!

Pete, the CD pleases me pretty dawgone well, too. I'm listening to it as I type. Very musical. And a real testiment to a player who knows his assorted steel guitars very well.

(Thanks again for attending the SJ jam.)
