Does anyone remember who played steel on the George Jones song in the late fifties/early sixties "Aching Breaking Heart Of Mine", it sure sounded a lot like Walter Haynes style, really well done intro and turnaround, could have been Buddy, does anyone know?
I just had to edit this to explain that this is NOT the achy breaky heart song, just wanted to clarify that, whew! Thank God
Thanks

From the Mercury album,"George Jones Sings From The Heart". I just spoke w/ Walter,& played it for him over the phone,& asked him if it was him. He said it was too long ago to remember, since Jimmy Day was, also,"experimenting" w/ this capo method.
Jimmy did several sessions w/ "possum" back then also. So,it was one of the two. That's the best I can do for ya.

Thanks Smiley, I appreciate the reply. It sure sounds like some of the capo stuff Walter was doing then, also, it could have maybe been Hal Rugg, it's very smooth capo stuff, very good pickin.
