I met a steel player last night at Billy Bobs named Mark Metdker,he was a super nice guy and a great steel player.I offered him a job down in the stockyards but I figured a big time player like that would'nt be interested in a little hardcore honky tonk band like us,but he is actually considering it !!! what a dream come true !!! Mark maybe someday I can hit some of those harmonic licks you was hitting last night !!thanks for making a aspiring steel players day !!

When a person is a full-time player it comes down to dollars and sense. So, if a better paying gig comes along then it propably makes sense to take the gig. That isn't always the case, but good pay is one sure sign of appreciation of a musician's talent. If you are willing to pay him a better price and your group and gig are stable, then he just may well take you up on your offer. I am of the opinion that all players should be getting $250.00 per gig these days. But that's another can of worms, that I will leave.
