Dear Friends,

I have been kindly asked to post below information about Jeanm Stafford's new CD on the forum - here it is:

"Australia’s Jean Stafford has recorded a new album titled LET THE DANCE BEGIN (All tracks written by Jean)

The album was recorded in Nashville and was produced by Hall of Fame Member the Late Jimmie Crawford

The first Radio Single to be released in Australia is the track STEELIN’ THE 2 STEP which is getting rave reviews on radio and in magazines, dedicated to the Western Swing Steel players of the World.

In the song Jean immortalizes Hall of Fame member John Hughey (who played great C6th on the track) and ads to the immortalization of the great Jaquin Murphy, Herb Remington and Leon McAuliffe.

Also in the song Jean referred to Neon, a young steeler mentioned briefly by Jimmie who Jean feels represents all the lesser known and up an coming Steelers out there every weekend playing great western steel and keeping the sound alive (long live the memory of the Great Bob Wills and is also mentioned in the song)

Quote: Bob Wills would be proud if he were hear today, knowing that his music has been kept alive this way

The last line of the song quote: - Steelin’ the 2 step in a good ol’ Texas Band

Also steelin’ some great licks and passes on the album is “Mr. Nashville Sound” Lloyd Green with the A team including Brent Mason, Pig Robbins, Stuart Duncan and Russ Hicks, Acoustic Guitar and Tic Tac just to name a few, THE LIST GOES ON

You can use the link below to take a shortcut to the samples: I keep playing Mr. Greens intro to: "She's Not A Fallen Angle" over and over.

Actually, in the song it's, "She's not a fallen angel," of course. I visited the site, listened to some of the samples and decided I wanted to buy the latest album, but they want $29.95 for it.
Cheers,
