Dear Friends

I have posted new soundclips on the website www.lloydgreentribute.com

Four of them come from a live album that was recorded live at Vacaville State Prison in Northern California in 1971. The featured artist was Glen Sherley, being an inmate at the time. Glen had written "Greystone Chapel" (recorded by Johnny Cash who was one of the main supporters of this project!).

Glen Sherley was later released on parole and moved to Nashville, but never really mastered his new life. He committed suicide on May 11, 1978.

We all know the famous "Panther Hall" album, here is an almost forgotten live recording featuring Lloyd's outstanding playing...

The other two clips come from a beautiful Rattlesnake Annie tune - I couldn't decide whether I should include the vocal verse or the solo, well, here they are both!

Enjoy!

Kind Regards, Walter

I just received the album and listening to it. I was lucky to find a new, still sealed one. I can recommend this album, nice life steel by Lloyd, and Glen has a natural and powerfull voice that touches me.
