Dear Friends,
Jack Hamlett has asked me to put this on the forum and see if somebody can help out. Jack is extremly dedicated to his work on his steel guitar project, collecting all the historical data he can by interviewing players and/or their relatives - we all can surely look forward to the results!
Here is his message:
Subject: Looking for "Lefty" Nason's son who currently lives in Texas
Ralph "Lefty" Nason was the pioneer steel player who created the famous Hank Thompson style lick using the volume pedal. He played steel on many of Hank Thompson's early hit records in the 1940's. In an interview I recently did with Frank Juricek, Mr. Juricek said that Ralph "Lefty" Nason's son is currently living in Texas. If I'm not mistaken, his name is also Ralph Nason. If someone knows Ralph "Lefty" Nason's son or knows how to contact him, please contact me. I would like to do an interview with him. I am most appreciative of any help I receive in this.
Sincerely,
Jack Hamlett
