If you don't like RR, this is a good time to leave this thread...
If you're sill here, there's a 10 min vid of a live performance at the Voodo Fest in New Orleans posted at http://www.voodoomusicfest.com/home.htm
You have to go to the films link, and scroll down to "Robert Randolph".
Cool stuff! |

Thanks for the tip. That was really nice stuff. I liked the way the camera showed his right hand a lot. Too bad other camera-men (or women) dont' focus on Tommy White like that whenever he's on tv. |

The Ben Harper video was priceless, haven't laughed so hard in a long time! Amazing vocal "scratching".... DJ's "humanized"?

Thanks Joey. I finally get to hear and see Robert Randolph. It's music I might have dug years ago, even might get down on if I were there live. It's good but just not for me anymore. |

Great clip, great band, I particularly dig the keyboard player. RR is not my fave, but I wish I could perform like him! JP |

Now that was good. That's what Robert is about. That's about the best tone I've heard from Robert, it's great to hear him driving a tube amp rather than abusing solid state Peaveys to get his distortion.
He's reading the audience, giving them what they want, and kicking it. I really liked that. |
