I am not sure what section this should be in, but I just had to say it.
Besides a wealth of knowledge, BESIDES a huge market of all things steel. I have found some of the friendliest people I have ever met. I see amatuers, professionals, legends, and builders, all hanging with each other and sharing as equals. No attitudes or egos, just super cool people lovin' steel and being a community.
So far I have been helped with picking the right PSG to start on, I have talked amps, and several people have spread the word on the bass I am selling to other bass-oriented lists. When I asked for suggestions on an affordable volume pedal, I got a wealth of info AND someone sending me a Goodrich Steelmaster for FREE!!!
I just want to thank b0b for starting this forum, and everyone on here for coming together across various social and ability levels to meet as equals & friends, thus making the greatest forum on the web!
Thanks y'all!

Jason, just wait until you get to go to a convention!!!!!! You ain't seen nothing yet. If you ever get a chance, come to one of our meetings the first Sunday of each month here in Baxter Springs. Anything that we can do to help, let us know!

Ray,
Thanks for the invite. I have had several people invite me to a meeting. Looks like we have a pretty solid group right here in Kansas!
I hope to see you in April or May.

Jason, if you hang around here you will accelarate your steel playing ten fold. There is a wealth of information in the archives that you can look up with the "search" option. Many expert and qualified opinions here. Good luck. |
