I must say thanks to the fine folks at Gold Tone. If they treat every customer like they treat me, their future is truly gold. I first dealt with them last year when I bought one of their Gold Tone Lap Steels as a back up to my Oahu Tonemaster.(It is a close copy of that style Lap)I am very happy with that instrument.
A friend of mine had just bought himself a 1940's Oahu Tonemaster with a broken plastic face plate. I called John Corney at Gold Tone and asked if they would consider selling us one of their metal face plates, and he said yes. I had to cut a little wood around the pots to make it fit, but the plate works perfect.
I have had a couple of emails from my B&S post looking for the Oahu face plate, so there seems to be several old Tonemasters out there with broken plates. Gold Tone can help.
If you are looking for a real nice Lap at a fair price, check them out(www.goldtone.com). |
