In the thread about Noel Boggs there's mention of a player from the old days named Anthony Rocco. I've never heard of him, but Jody Carver provided a very cool picture of Mr. Rocco playing an Epiphone 7/8 through a wild little amp. He's using a Rocco pedal, which I guess he designed. Others on that thread say they've used his pedals and they were good ones that allowed you to change the tone and volume.

My questions are - What did Rocco sound like? What kind of repertoire did he play? Are they're any recordings of his playing? What happened to him? Perhaps some of the seasoned players on the forum saw him in his heyday. Obviously, Jody met him. I was wondering if Al, or CC or Roy or any of the other guys who started in the pre-pedal era heard or were influenced by Anthony Rocco.

I always enjoy the reminiscences. Thanks in advance

Just giving this a bump.

I've searched on google and allmusic.com and a few other websites, but nothing on a steel-playing Anthony Rocco.

Well, maybe Jody will be back.
