I JUST BEEN INTRODUCED TO THE FORUM. I CAN'T THINK OF A BETTER WAY TO START ANY DAY.
MY NAME IS J.W.DAY,NOW LIVING IN ELIZABETHTOWN,KY.,ORIGINALLY FROM THE OWENSBORO,KY. AREA. I SWITCHED TO STEEL IN 1976 AND WAS SOON PLAYING IN A LOCAL BAND. THIS WAS WITH THE HELP FROM BUD HALL OF EVANSVILLE,IN. AND WITH WHOM I HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF BEING FRIENDS WITH EVER SINCE. BUT IN 1997 I HAD TO QUIT DUE TO HIP PROBLEM.
IN 04 I DECIDED TO GO TO THE ST. LOUIS CONV., THE FIRST ROOM THAT I WALKED INTO, RUSS & LANEY WERE PERFORMING,ALL I CAN SAY IS THANKS TO BOTH OF YOU. HAVING PLAYED A LEGRANDE FOR MANY YEARS,I HAD TO CHECK OUT RON JR. AS I WALKED IN ,
I SPOTTED THE SD-10, KNOWING THAT IT WAS SOMEWHAT LIGHTER THAN THE D-10,WELL ANYWAY IT'S NOW IN ELIZABETHTOWN. WHAT ABOUT THE DERBY ROOM AND THAT YOUNG BLIND MAN? ONLY SHOWS WHAT GOD CAN DO.
BEFORE YOU ASK, NO I'M NOT ANY KIN TO JIMMY,BUT I HAVE CERTAINLY ENJOYED HIS PLAYING DOWN THROUGH THE YEARS, ALONG WITH ALL THE REST OF YOU PRO'S.
THANKS FOR ALLOWING NEW MEMBERS INTO THIS NEWS MEDIA.
