Here are your clues: the waltz-time song has short bursts of GREAT bright very-present
steel, short bursts of fiddle, and the vocalist sings in the chorus "...miss you only..." and "...for I love you." My wife Sherrill heard this song on a very fringy radio station yesterday and is dying to know what it is. I haven't given you very many clues and these words are in a million songs, but you guys and gals are smart. Any ideas?

Pete, that's it. Thanks for the bullseye! Specifically, it was the Chris Hillman/Herb Pedersen version with Jay Dee Maness on steel. |

You're welcome!
Is that on the "Bakersfield Bound" album or a different one? Jaydee's too cool.... |
