I’ll be in Vegas to see Dead and Co. At the sphere July 12 but I have some more time off that I may be able to catch another show or just meet up with someone if there’s anyone in town July 11-14. |

We just played Stoney's in MGM last week. That's a great venue for catching steel.
Not steel related, but I can't recommend enough Brian Newman's "After Dark" in the NoMad inside Park MGM. Lady Gaga's band leader and the whole band are her players, but it's serious lounge Vegas jazz in a beautiful, intimate setting. Players are just ripping on standards. It was one of the highlights of our whole west coast run for me. The whole show feels like 70s Vegas in the best way. Grab some Korean from Best Friend while you're in Park MGM, if you dig Korean. Enjoy Vegas and your trip. Cheers! _________________ Fiddle, banjo and steel for Tennessee Jet, Blaine Bailey

So jealous you're getting to see Dead at Sphere. I'm a deadhead, but they weren't on while we were there. We did the postcards from earth sphere experience and it was wild. Dead show there will be NUTS. The lobby robots are cool/terrifying. There's nothing like sphere anywhere, it's wholly unique. Enjoy! Probably the only place on the Strip that may have steel would be Gilleys at Treasure Island. |
