Never heard of Greg Garing before today when a friend shared this with me.
Fantastic band too and the steel player (Andy Gibson) is doing some amazing and understated things in the background. I love the technique of emulating amp tremolo with his volume pedal and he's doing some lovely right hand damping stuff too.

I like his voice. Nice hand damping indeed. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Greg is an interesting artist. His first solo album was released almost 20 years ago and it was excellent. Kind of a mix of bluegrass, rock and modern recording techniques (at the time). He also is a mandolin player and he was in Bill Monroe's band. He used to lead a collective in NYC called the Alphabet City Opry. He has been around the block a few times and I need to get caught up on what he's been doing.
Thanks for the post! _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

That's some great stuff, really cool vibe. I knew of him, but not much about him, seems like a really interesting guy. Apparently things have not been looking up for him of late, he has some sort of debilitating illness. He has a gofundme page to help raise $ for medical expenses here: https://www.gofundme.com/greggaring |
