Many thanks to Redd Volkaert for granting permission to post this clip of Jim's Steel solo on Redd's " The Buck Stops Here" from Telewacker..

by the way , this is a great CD..one of my all time favorites...Redd and Jim together ..

Nice pickin for sure! Have any idea what steel he was playin?
And that's the way I'd love to play my Strat.
any ideas on courses that teach that kind of guitar pickin Tony?

Contact Redd Volkaert..he has an awesome DVD out there for us..which is a Telecaster educational thing..who better than Redd to show us how it's done..

Tony CD was cut back before I even met Redd; so I can't speculate of which Steel Murph was playing; but Redd knows for sure. I'm almost thinking it was his Bethel; but certainly could be the Blue Sho~bud, as Murph could dial in the same tone on any steel he played..ah..ha.

Man, that's wonderful pickin'!!!!!! I hadn't listened to that album in a while. Me thinks I'll dig it out as soon as my behind gets home and give it a spin. Thank you for the post. Hmmmm, I just checked his web site, I see the live CD, but I don't see a DVD for sale.
