If you have a personal website, upload the sing there, check the link that lets you download the song.
Then in the UBB code link next top the posting window you find instructions.
I pasted it below also ...

In the examples above, the UBBCode™ automatically generates a hyperlink to the URL that is encased. It will also ensure that the link is opened in a new window when the user clicks on it. Note that the "http://" part of the URL is completely optional. In the second example above, the URL will hypelink the text to whatever URL you provide after the equal sign. Also note that you should NOT use quotation marks inside the URL tag.
A good way is to try edit on somebody eleses post that has a link.
Then you see how they did it.

Armon, David gives great insight.
in addition, you need to get the song file under 1 meg so folks ccan actually download it and listen. An appropriate file size is between 500 kb and 750 kb..
If you rip an MP3 to that size it will have acceptable Internet sound quality and will be availabe for anyone regardlless of there Internet connection.
Most of the available PC music programs such as MusicMatch can rip a WAVE file to a selected MP3 file size. This file would be the one to host at a NET location with the link.

I agree with Tony...
if you ain't a recording engineer like me.
I couldn't in good faith to my art put up a low fidelity file,
even if I lose a few downloaders...
Because just converting to mp3 formate changes my mixes to much to stand.
But in general Tonys file size rule holds true.
Red clay halo is a big file, but some real nice acoustic instruments and dobro on it.
I would NEVER size it down to fit.

thanks to all for all the good info. can some one send me a email of the equment i need to take the song off a tape.i have spent the last 50+years trying learn to play that Multi-Kord. boy i sure am dum when it come learning new things

Hi Armon,
There are four tasks here:
1) getting a tape into digital form (to put on a CD). There are some ways to do this using the sound card on your computer. But this can be a little complex and I'd advise you to get somebody local walk you through it. Alternatively, there are AV stores around that could transfer your tape or record to CD.
2) Getting the CD to a form suitable for the internet (MP3 or other internet music format). This is really easy, all you need is a computer with a CD drive and Microsoft Media Player (which you almost certail already have).
3) Getting the music file up to an internet web site. This can be really complex, especially if you don't already have a site (which you probably don't). I'd advise you to look around your neighborhood and look for a geeky looking teenager who has spent way too much time indoors. He or she probably has a web site, and might very well agree to put your file up there.
4) Linking the file you put up on somebody's web site so that it shows up on the forum. That's what Donald's post was about. (nice song, BTW, Donald).

LOL, I am having them daily it seems.
I was in this group for that song,a and a few others, but no longer.
I played bass, dobro and middle harmony vocal.
And the recording of course, about a 1.5 years ago.
But I did record them again last month, this time i didn't play.
The other music is much different, but might fit your ears ok, modern jazz for pre-senility.
