Just to set the record straight about the "live vs. tracks" debate.......
Many of the acts last night did play live for once. I was quite surprised and pleased about that. On the
performance with Dierks Bentley we were definitely
live. Same for George Strait, Alan Jackson, Brooks
and Dunn and several others.
Despite the fact that there are many things not to
like about award shows, it did my heart good to
look around backstage last night and see so many
steel guitars! Just about every make and model you can imagine. It's a start..........

Gary,
That ol' Bud of yours with the white fretboards looked awesome!!! Your Dobro-sim sounded great, too. Oh, and that stuff you played with Sara sounded just like the record.

Edited to say that I think I'm recalling the Opry repeat that was on GAC last night when you were playing the Dobro simulator. Your steel picking on the awards show was great, too.

The "Bud" sounded great as did the picker. Was Johnny Cox playing his MSA, thought i saw him? Who were the other steel players?
