I'll be over in the UK on Nov 16 and 17 and could probably get away for some late evening music; any suggestions? If I can't find a steeler, maybe I'll head over to Ronnie Scott's, or is there another jazz club I should check out? Scott's is the only one I know...
Thanks,
Jimbeaux

Jim;
You might try contacting Tony Smart from Essex, UK. (near London) He's the fellow who bought my ’01 Dark Laurel Franklin PSG several months ago. tony@lindasmart.fsnet.co.uk And if you contact him, please tell him ‘Hi’ for me! Thanks,

Best thing is to get a copy of Time Out and check the listings.

100 club; http://www.the100club.co.uk/ - shut on the 16th, 17th lists:
17 Nov 2004 7.30pm - Midnight Special Presentation
Britain's Original Jazz Big-Band -
THE SOUND OF 17 BIG BAND Led by DICK ESMOND
Mem £7.00 Non-mem £10.00

Also on Wed:
Jive Aces @ Ashton's Ceroc, 194 Cricklewood Broadway, Cricklewood, London NW2

Good-ish swing band. Should be a good night out, but not exactly country....

You could always come round and play my T8 Stringmaster B-)
