I just noticed in the new Elderly Instruments catalog the above referenced squareneck resonator guitar. It appears from the picture to be shaped and configured substantially differently from previous Regal models -- for example, it looks like it has a larger, Dobro-sized cover plate, and the body appears to be nearly identical, dimensionally and shape-wise, to a standard, current Dobro squareneck. The description says the Regal has a Quarterman cone.
Anybody have any info or experience with this particular guitar? Thanks.  |
