I'm not talking about me. I;m talking about Steel Guitar Amplifiers. I play a Peavey Nashville 1000 and its weight is 57 lb.its killing me ,draging it from gig to gig. My last amp. was a Vega . Now Fender has a new steel amp.Wow ,great, but its weight is 66 lbs. Buddy E says it has a great sound, but Buddy I,m just a little guy and getting olded (and you are older than me at least by a year). Do you know of a diet pill for the amp. or a body building pill I could take. , I do like Fenders.Joe

Joe, do you have removable casters on the bottom of your amp? I have them on all of mine and I have wheels on my steel guitar case. I roll everything around. Except for stairs it nearly eliminates weight issues. If you need a set let me know. The company that makes them is here in Buffalo and I can get them for you. They only take twenty minutes to install on the bottom of the amp. I could not carry my equipment without them as I use heavy equipment. If you need help installing them take a ride up here and I'll install them for you.

Joe, I put my twin in a head cab, and I have two Marrs cabs with my 15"'s. Sure cuts down the weight nice! I think Lloyd Green's rig is like this, too.

Joe. It's a little off the topic of your question, but I was wondering about the country gigging in your area, like Jamestown, Lakewood, Busti, Falconer and such. Are there more gigs avaliable now than say, 30 years ago?

Ivan-I am wondering,If that Evans S200 , with 200 watts, with a 15inch delt light speaker weighs 34 lbs. That sure sounds like a winner power and weightwise.

The Peavey 112 at 42 lbs with only 80 watts and 12 inch speaker , power and weight cant compare.

But what does the Evans S200 cost compared to the Peavey 112?....al
