I saw this movie Sunday night. There is a song in the movie that is basically a parody of the over-patriotic country song. The song has some nice steel playing, and I was wondering if the performer was on the forum.
BTW. It's a great movie. |

Mark,
I laughed through the whole movie. It reminded me of those old Bugs Bunny cartoons where he is fighting the Germans. Back when no one had even heard of political correctness.
I'm hoping the steeler who played on that track is on the forum, and had some contact with the guys that did the movie. |

I was going to ask the same question. Been a long time since I laughed that hard.
thought about the forum the second I heard that song. Some pretty tasty playing actually.

I played a little on one song for that movie last month. But I heard that they fired the composer and threw out all the music. However they might have kept some songs. |

Earnest;
did you by chance invoke your "F" for Freedom lever at any point during the sessions...?

Hi Earnest
I was under the impression they wrote the songs themselves (didn't check the credits tho)-heaven knows they sound like those guys-completely vicious, insulting everyone, and howlingly funny. What made them more effective was that the music sounded so straight ahead and in the pocket, it could have been from any of a dozen Bruckheimer action pix.
If it was you, nice work!
