Hi Paul,
Back in the early 80s when I was fortunate enough to study with you at Jeff's place, you were on the verge of putting out a jazz tablature series, starting with "All the Things You Are". As I recall you had that one all ready to go and then... disbanded the project. I always wondered why you didn't put those out, and now, years later, I wonder whether you might still consider releasing them? I hope you will!

| I think Paul had the course "All the things you are" out on Jeffran label years ago. I remember seeing. I could be wrong. |

Jim,
Sorry, I missed this thread. I believe Jeff may have printed a few during the year I traveled with him to hand out in class but I'm not sure. Anyway my sessions started taking my focus away from teaching and I haven't thought about it until your post.
The song is a great example of how well modulated tonal centers work for adding color to a simple melody. The melody is so simple. The verse repeats the same melodic line twice. It starts in Ab ending in C, then it repeats in Eb ending in G. The bridge or chorus repeats another simple melody twice. It starts in G and then its repeated in the key of E, then the release is played out in Ab.
